Enjoy your stay, even before arriving
Thank you very much for booking your stay at Apartments Los Telares. In this section you have all the necessary information for your arrival trip, the services you can hire for your stay and information to enjoy your visit to La Gomera.
Are all your docs in order?
All visitors will have to comply with the new “Canary Islands, Safe Destination” COVID-19 security requirements. If you are arriving to Los Telares within the first 15 days of your stay on The Canary Islands you will have to provide a test certificate for all above 6 years old. If you have been on the islands longer, you will have to fill in and sign a form.
Don't get lost!
Los Telares is by the main street, on the North Route or GM-1, Km. 18. But sometimes it can be a bit confusing to find. NOTE: For some reason, Google is still confused as to where we are. Don’t get lost, here’s our exact location.
Checking in
Official check-in is at 14h. But no matter what time you get here.
If you arrive before 14:00 h., you will be able to enjoy our shared facilities and gather information and maps in our lounge. If possible, we will provide you with access to your apartment. If you arrive after our closing time, do not worry, we have a procedure for all late arrivals that we will send a few days before your arrival.
The first morning
We recommend all our guests to book their breakfast with us at least for the first morning. Comfortably placed by your door in the morning, with everything for a good start.
Arriving from San Sebastian Seaport
If you have a car:
Depart from San Sebastian by route North (GM-1) towards Hermigua – Agulo – Vallehermoso. Continue straight for 16 km. When you reach Hermigua and at the first roundabout keep straight. Los Telaresmain building and reception will be at your right-hand side after 200 meters. Click here for printable Google driving directions.
Bus line:
Line 2 to Hermigua – Agulo – Vallehermoso, departing at the Seaport or Bus Station on San Sebastian. If you are unsure as to where take off, you can ask the driver for further indications. Check bus lines and schedules here.
Taxi:
By the terminal buiding there is an official taxi stand. Approximate cost of 28€.
Arriving from the Airport of La Gomera (GMZ)
If you have a rental car:
Depart from GMZ Airport towards Playa Santiago, stay on the main road. At the crossroad in Degollada de Peraza turn left. On the next crossroad, turn right. Continue straight until the end of the road. Turn right towards Hermigua. Continue straight for 5 Km., reach Hermigua and at the first roundabout keep straight. Bus line:
Take any of the lines connecting the Airport with San Sebastian. Then, on the Bus Station, take Line 2. If you ask, the bus driver can inform you of the stop to get off.
Taxi:
Approximate cost of 35€.
Cooking
Standard features of our apartments: Refrigerator with freezer, electric kettle, juicer, hand blender. It also includes cutlery, dishes, glasses, colander, corkscrew, frying pan, saucepan and pots.
There are microwaves in common areas. Basic products such as salt or sugar are not included in the apartment, but on the 2nd floor there is our “pantry”, where guests share, among other things, salt, sugar, oil, vinegar…
The tap water is drinkable and of great quality. We offer water filters if you want to further purify it. If you still prefer bottled water, we have available in the minibar of our lounge, you can buy the ones you want.
You can leave your used oil in the oil container we provide, we will take care of its recycling.
Sleeping
Twin beds (90x190cm) in all Studios, except the Basic Double (40x190cm).
King bed (180x190cm) in Junior Suites.
2 twin beds + sofa-bed in Triples.
Queen bed in the Garden Suite (150x190cm)
Includes bedding, which is 2 pillows per bed, sheets and duvet. Inside the wardrobe we provide extra pillows and blankets.
Entertainment
The WiFi is free, you can see the password in the information booklet inside the apartment.
You will be able to see the DTT channels, both television and radio. The TV also has a USB port on one side where you can put your music. You can also enjoy the tranquility of Hermigua in your apartment with a good book. You will find one in our lounge library that is to your liking.
Bathroom
3-piece bathroom, with washbasin, toilet and a shower.
We provide a set of 2 towels per person. During your stay we change your towels on request. To do this, leave the dirty towels on the shower tray. Remember that we are on an island with little water, help us save.
We don’t have beach towels, so don’t forget to bring your own. 🙂
You have shower gel and hand soap. Also hairdryer.
Security
This might sound strange, but we have decided that the best option to avoid any risk of infection from/to guests is not to enter the apartments during your stay. This means that, unless there is an emergency, we will not enter to clean or to remove breakfast trays. Sorry for that, but it has proved to be a good option so far. If you need extra towels or any other items, you can always let us know, we will arrange a safe pick-up / delivery.
