Enjoy the best La Gomera has to offer
One of the pleasures of travelling is tasting new flavours. And if those flavours are accompanied by good conversation, all the time in the world and the landscapes of La Gomera, it is definitely a great pleasure. Leisure in La Gomera stands out for its open and relaxed character. La Gomera’s restaurant cuisine boasts tasty and simple ingredients.
Practically every village on La Gomera has a small range of restaurants, terraces and bars where you can enjoy its cuisine and friendly conversation. Here is a list of our recommendations for when you are on our island.
Restaurant Los Telares (Hermigua)
An offer that blends traditional dishes from the Convent with flavours from around the world. Homemade desserts, vegetarian dishes and products from our organic farm make our restaurant an indispensable visit in the north of La Gomera.
Tasca Telemaco (Hermigua)
A special tip: here they offer the best paellas on the island, or shall we say the only traditional paellas on the island.
Restaurante El Faro, Pescados y más (Hermigua)
It offers a varied menu of fresh fish of the day, homemade pastas, salads, natural juices, desserts, etc. If you fancy, try one of the tables on the top terrace, with views to the beach.
Paraíso del Mar (Valle Gran Rey)
A classic on the island, this beach restaurant in Valle Gran Rey offers carefully prepared dishes and a good selection of fresh fish, with magnificent views to enjoy the sunset!
Bar Terraza Pedro (Hermigua)
A pleasant terrace where you can have breakfast, a snack, an aperitif or tapas. Not the best food in town, but in the evenings it becomes a meeting point for visitors and locals.
Restaurant Abisinia (Valle Gran Rey)
Restaurant with an extensive menu and magnificent finger-licking dishes. The location couldn't be more special, with outdoor tables in a small pedestrian street in the traditional neighbourhood of Vueltas in Valle Gran Rey.
Caprichos de La Gomera (San Sebastian)
Fabián Mora's new restaurant is located on the Paseo de La Marina in San Sebastián, just a few metres from the port terminal. A renowned chef from Gomera, everything he prepares is a pleasure for the palate. Not to be missed!
Tasca Las Cruces (Agulo)
Hidden among the streets of Agulo, this tiny tavern with a terrace is one of its most visited places. And it's no wonder, as its dishes and portions are simple, but well prepared.
